The cuisine and beverages are consistently excellent, and the venue itself keeps improving and evolving. I recently hosted my son's christening in their new upstairs space and WOW! Simply stunning. Service, atmosphere, food... just everything impeccable!
My partner and I chose Adega Grill when we were coming to Newark for a concert nearby. Great discovery! We both ordered seafood which was flavorful, served scalding hot, and packed with shrimp! Service was exceptional and we loved the vibe... intimate, comfortable, and still family-friendly. We'll be returning!
Good upscale restaurant perfect for special occasions!! There is a lot of seating and when we were there we didn't need to make a reservation. The food was pretty good but took a bit of time to come out, but the paella is a MUST TRY!!!
Modern and elegant Portuguese Restaurant in Newark. Dined here with some friends the other night. For drinks we had a pitcher of house made sangria. Quite good. For my appetizer, I had the Chourico Portugues Assado (Portuguese sausage flambe at tableside). Very tasty. For my main I had the Paelha Valenciana (A pan of slowly cooked paella valenciana, saffron rice and select seasonings of lobster, shrimp, calms, scallops, New Zealand mussels, chicken, Portuguese sausage and cubes of pork). A huge portion. And delicious. No room for dessert. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the restrooms were clean. We will return.
Adega Grill is our go-to for special occasions: graduation, birthday, anniversary, etc! The seafood platter is a treat for me and my family of 4! There's enough food for all of us! Tomahawk is a must try, especially to steak lovers out there! Don't forget to order a glass or pitcher of sangria!
The food - absolutely delicious. The Sangria - so good - not too heavy and not too sweet. The staff - so sweet and so hospitable, especially with a request I made for my infant. Would I go back ? Maybe - if the portions were a little bigger, and/or sides were included in all menu items.
